My Aunt Nell and Uncle Tommy moved to Collinsville, Oklahoma in April of this year. They downsized into a three room home in a gated community. They have a son and daughter in law who live near by. I think that it was so brave of them to leave a home in Georgia where they had lived for over forty years and had many established friends and church family. They selflessly ridded themselves of lots of possessions and trusted that this move was best for them. Uncle Tommy is 94 and Aunt Nell will be 90 in November.
We have bought airline tickets to visit them in August. Walter and I will be married 24 years on August 27. We thought a trip to see them would be a wonderful celebration for all of us. They do not know this, unless they somehow read this blog. SSHH! Don't tell them yet. We will let them know closer to the actual trip.
