My Family Likes to Eat

After Christmas Walter & I were fortunate enough to get to travel to Hanover, PA and Alexandra, VA to visit Walter's brother and his family.

Here we are at the table in Miller's Restaurant in Lancaster, PA enjoying the simply delicious lunch buffet.  They specialize in Amish dishes.  Boy, oh boy were they good!  We filled up on salads and soups.  Walter's nephew John-Philip, second from left, was singing at the America Music Theatre that afternoon.

He did a wonderful job, as did all the cast.  Because we were his family, we got to meet the entire cast after the performance.  One cast member graduated from Middle Tennessee State University, the school where I earned my BS also.

For New Year's Eve we traveled to Washington, DC and on to Alexandria, VA to visit with Walter's other nephew and his family.  You have seen Oliver on my blog before.  See how much he has grown since the summer.  He just turned one a few days before this picture was made.


                                   

 He was so good opening all his presents!  And what a good eater,too!

We had a traditional Norwegian Christmas Eve dinner.  All kinds of pork products cut a certain way, (shipped in by a butcher in Florida), pork sausages, stewed potatoes and more.
