The Best 50 Cent Bargain

We have had the most fun from a 50 cent purchase that Walter found at a yard sale.  He found an unopened Skip Bo game marked for 50 cents.  We had once played the game at a church game day.
A Fun Simple Card Game
We had not mastered the game due to not having playing instructions but enjoyed it.  When he found the game which included the playing instructions, he knew this was a bargain.

We taught ourselves the game by the instructions and have spent joyous hours playing it with just the two of us.

Additionally we have played with a friend for hours in a hotel lobby in Memphis while waiting to go to a doctor's appointment, played with our 10 year old grandson, Colin, and even entertained friends by playing several games.

When Walter's 45th high school reunion came up, he and a classmate, Larry, decided to get together separately for their own brand of reunion.  We met Larry and his friend Debbie at a local Cheddar's restaurant.  After dinner, we went to our house for conversation, Skip Bo playing and dessert.  I had made a coconut cake earlier in the day and it was just right for the evening.
Sweetest Note We Received
The evening was filled with laughs and merriment as we played several games.  Debbie blocked Larry from some of his plays and he joked that she would need to take a taxi home.  The evening ended on a high note with promises to do it again soon.

We got the nicest thank you note afterwards.  So this 50 cent investment has paid us over and over again with the best of fun and great times with those we hold dear to us.

God is good!
