Walter Teaches Sunday School, Lunch to Follow

May 21, 2012

Yesterday Walter taught our Sunday School class.  Our regular teacher was on vacation.  Walter told us about Abraham and his son Issac.  He had done a lot of research and it showed in his lesson.  I was very proud of him.

After church, we had two couples join us for lunch.  I made a chicken pot pie, pickled beets and green beans.  One couple brought a strawberry pie and whipped cream.   It was all yum, yum!  They stayed until 3:00 just chatting about various fun things.  As we get older, these visits take on a more valuable quality.

Then we all met that night at a local church for a gospel singing.  That was wonderful to hear them and to also see many older folks that we had not seen in years.  One lady who had hosted a wedding shower for us almost 24 years ago was there.  She kept saying, "I'm 84. I'm 84".
